Diversification

In this day and age, resting on ones laurels will not carry any organization forward, and so Novagas looked at ways in which it could put its expertise in customer service to good use. Obviously, as the company's core business revolved around bottled LPG and cylinder handling, it had to look at providing services for other gas companies that would not impinge on its own business.

Shellgas/British Gas/Flogas

The Shellgas bottled gas business was purchased by British Gas, who subsequently sold to Flogas. We are no longer Flogas distributors. If you are seeking Flogas cylinders and are outside of our area call 0116 2649000, remember -we can supply you one of our cylinders if not.

Handygasandygas

Novagas are proud to hold the contract to fill and distribute Handygas cylinders for BP Gas, to BP forecourts in our area. We have been chosen to play a part in the launching of their new lightweight "see through" 10kg cylinder for patio heaters and barbeques and now the 5kg size for caravans.

Equipment

Novagas also stock, or can supply, many different items of gas burning appliances, including patio heaters, mobile cabinet heaters, camping stoves and lights, rubber ose, change over valves, regulators, space heaters and Bullfinch torch kits. Camping Gaz refills are stocked in the most popular sizes.

Air Products

Novagas are one of the largest agents for Air Products Industrial Gases in the south east and can supply the full range of their products for welding, cutting, process work and the dispensing of drinks in pubs, clubs, hotels and restaurants. Heligas is also available for inflating party balloons and an attractive weekend hire option is available.

Other Services

We are Registered Dealers in Controlled Oils (RDCO) and can dispense Gas Oil and DERV into your cans or vehicle from pumps in our yard. Since April of 2003 customers wishing to purchase gas oil must register with Novagas under new HMCE rules. This is aimed and putting a stop to the illegal use of rebated oils in road vehicles. All transactions are recorded and a chain of supply created tracing sales from the refinery to the end user.

Software

We have developed our own software for cylinder management & delivery purposes. This software easily links with Sage Accounting Packages, and can possibly be modified to interact with others. Versions of the software are available for purchase by gas companies, stockist's and dealers setting them free to start managing cylinder assets and increasing your profit margins.

Contract filling

Novagas provides contract filling services for other independent gas supply companies, and at present supplies several organizations that own cylinders and market them in areas local to themselves. If you own your own cylinders, or are contemplating doing so -give us a call in confidence
